J&R SMOKE MASTER 250 RFS SMOKER

Manufactured in Mesquite, Texas by one of the world's leading barbecue smoker manufacturers.

J&R Manufacturing have established a reputation as industry leaders in the barbecue sector. They focus exclusively on wood fired smokers opposed to gas. This of course, is how barbecue was founded and it is the most authentic commercial barbecue smoker on the market.

Major players in London who house these units are Jamie Oliver's Barbecoa and Big Easy Convent Garden, arguably the most successful barbecue restaurant in London to date.

We brought in the smoker from Okie Dokie's Barbecue in North Carolina in early 2014. They have had the unit since 2007 from brand new. The unit retails for £25,000 US brand new. We paid $15,000 plus shipping. Sadly, as we now plan to move into a permanent site in London with a basement kitchen, the unit is too large/heavy to fit down the stairwell and we are looking to to recoup some of our costs.

It's definitely in used condition, or well primed ;). It's had a hard slog over summer with but that's what it's was designed for. It's a tank of a smoker and over the course of summer, we successfully smoked 200kgs of pork butt/brisket (per cook) for 4 months straight. The smoke penetration and gentle heat makes some of the best pulled pork out there. Hands down.

It's industrial as all hell and a great visual for any commercial kitchen. Not for the backyard enthusiasts I'm afraid.

The unit is so well insulated and the firebox in particular, once it's at temperature it holds it for hours on end.

All are welcome to come and have a smoke on her. Will accept any reasonable offers.

WARNING: EXTREMELY HEAVY

Will need to arrange transport as this thing weighs over a tonne! Housed in a shipping container converted into a commercial kitchen currently.
