How many racks are there typically in a babyback box?


Roughly a rack will average a kg so about 10. The spare ribs are dear @ £4.90ish per kg, my local butcher does them for £3.70 per kg in same 10kg frozen box

Thanks, I did think as much, I pay around £3 per rack fresh, did hope these might be slightly bigger but I'm thinking not. All of the internet butchers seem expensive to me especially if you put in effort and support your local butcher, mines always giving me extra bits

Just got it in. Brisket was about an inch thick in thickest part of flat, most of the fat has been removed and what's left has been scored

It would be a lot easier if it was clear what people could expect rather than being told what its assumed you want to hear.

A typical 'full packer' to me would not be described as a 'whole flat' (I would expect that to be flat only) but to then be told it includes the point is even more confusing to me.

but hearing a 'whole' brisket including flat and point is 2.75kg sealed it - I wanna be looking at at least twice that (often twice again!!).

Scored?

If anyone needs a reasonable amount just let me know and give me a bit of notice and I will be happy to pass whole briskets on at around cost plus just post and packing :)
