Re: Are barrel BBQ safe

The first one I just burnt out then attacked it with an angle grinder with a wire knott, the second one I cut the top off and got shot blasted for £10, if I do it again, the shot blast was much easier and got a better clean

Re: macro frozen boxed ribs

No problem with them here, what alot of people do is buy one box, don't like them and label them all as crap.

Macro do a couple of options for frozen ribs, I know of at least three different options of 10kg boxes, which are roughly:
A-£20 - Skinny - Never bought them myself
B-£22 - decent amount of ...

Re: Hello from Cheltenham

Hi matey, I'm just on the other side of Gloucester in Minsterworth.

We'll have to have a Pit Boys weekend, powered by meat and beer

Re: reds grill manchester?

No, but I sent my mate when I heard about it because I moved away from Manchester. He's been back several times now so it gets his seal of approval

Re: Buying ribs in bulk

Bookers myself, if you aren't eligible for a card, chances are you have a mate that has one (or Macro)

I buy the £22 box, get approx 10 racks that are approx 1kg each, some bigger, some smaller

Re: Oil Drim / Oil Barrel into Smoker

The internet is your friend, I just googled it, read lots of threads, watched a few bids on you tube and headed out to the garage armed with beer.

There is a link in my signature below to show my shopping list and how I did it.

Hope it helps

Re: Any Pit Builders Out There

I wouldn't say over engineered, they are probably 4-6mm thick which helps with heat retention and they will be less prone to environmental factors.

I did start to build a grill from a 47kg bottle, I had an afternoon to do it and it had the end cut off already so it was supposed to be a quick build ...

Re: Any Pit Builders Out There

How do you find it?

I've got a few 47kg gas bottles but felt it wouldn't be wide enough to get enough food on

Re: Any Pit Builders Out There

Oh, I'm interested in this, I've been looking in to this occasionally for when I win the lottery or get a pay out for being awesome and can build my own.

Looking at all the 'Build threads' there are always from Americans and they seem to use different size / shape gas tanks than we do. So after a ...
