Charcoal: there is a place near xscape where you can get generic 'blue bag' restaurant grade charcoal. I have ordered a pallet from big k before... When I do I usually post to see ...

Splitting a Big K half pallet delivery
Hi,
I'm in line for some charcoal to replenish my dwindling supply and am looking to order some top quality Big K charcoal.
The best price is for volume of 20+ bags... I have a friend who will go halves on a delivery (10 bags each) but we're bushing the boundaries of what we have space to store ...

Re: Homebrew pit controller
Way above my skill level!
I seriously doubt it... having built one it honestly was not that difficult at all. I have some basic IT skills (i.e. I know what an IP address is and how to setp port forwarding on a router)... but the LinkMeter / HeaterMeter instructions are pretty easy. You just need ...

Re: Homebrew pit controller
Aris,
Just catching up on recent posts... I'm using ET-732 probes - let me know if you want the Steinhart Co-efficients.
As you've now got an Arduino, it is worth checking out the HeaterMeter code... it's origins are from the Arduino but now uses a custom PCB (still with Atmega chip) rather than ...

Understand a bit more now - just been on the Traeger site to find out more - I liked the "why I love my Traeger" video on the front page!

Hi Chris,
I don't have any experience of controlling pellet smoker... my controller is really an alternative to a Guru or Stoker and is just about maintaining temperature.
It took me a while to understand that the project is about two things:
1. The "Heatermeter" a separate board which takes the ...
