Re: BBQ University with Steven Raichlen 14th May

Thanks for the link Keith.

I watched the first 2 episodes last night and have the rest set to record. Great stuff as far as I am concerned but of course I have a LOT less experience than you guys. I can see that for some people it would be very basic.

Re: ePetition

Yep. When I heard about the deaths on the news last night my first thought was "surely nobody would be so stupid" but then realised that many people just don't know about the dangers - why would they if they hadn't been told? Large warning label on these very important.

Petition signed.

Re: First attempt at Shoulder of Pork

Sunday morning and off we go! ;)

This was the problem. With the flavouring pan placed on the bottom funnel the wood dust didn't smoke even on a high heat.

Re: First attempt at Shoulder of Pork

Well, this morning was experiment time ready for cooking tomorrow.

Keith is absolutely right - there is no way that the flavouring pan can be used for low and slow smoking despite the fact that the folks at OutdoorChef UK said:

"In answer to your question, yes you can use the cast iron flavouring ...
