Re: GMG - Daniel Boone

Well, Been using the Daniel Boone very regularly now, and cannot see myself using anything else again. it is just too easy.
The only problem I had is that the smoke flavour was a lot lighter. I looked at the amazen smoker tubes, but these seem expensive, although I have heard good reviews about them ...

Re: GMG - Daniel Boone

Well, after lots of review reading I have finally ordered a Daniel Boone. Looking forward to trying it out. My Proq frontier has had a hard workout these last 3 years but I kind of like the idea of not having to watch the temp. Am waiting for the wife to complain about yet another BBQ, but not ...

Re: How to make pulled pork in a ProQ Fronteir?

I have done many pork shoulders in the frontier, and all have been fine. For the length of time that you want, the only way to get it to the right temp is to foil for 2 hours. this always takes me through the stall and gets the meat temp up to 205F.

Re: Newbie update

I have a ProQ frontier also. I used to have issues getting the heat up. I ended up buying a couple of large terracotta saucers from B&Q, wrapping them in foil and putting this in the water basin instead of water (foiling over the basin to reducing washing up). Now I keep the temp between 225 and 250 ...

Re: Pro Q - Frontier - How NOT to foil the water pan

I use foil, and it is only because I hate washing up. It catches the drippings nicely, meaning the water pan only needs rinsing.

Re: Taken the plunge and a quick Question

Fired it up on Friday, and today I dropped in a chicken and a 2.5kg pork shoulder.

I am so glad I did, but with one issue. How did the neighbours know what was happening and turn up just when the pork was done!!!

On a serious note though, the advice here is really good, and the chicken and pork ...

Taken the plunge and a quick Question

Hi all,
I have spent a lot of time reading through the forum and finally bought a proq frontier.
I am really looking forward to using it and would love to post pictures as good as what I see.
I do have a question though which I am unsure of (it may sound obvious to you, but not to me).

The ...
