Re: Types of beef ribs

thanks for the tips,

I spoke to my local butcher http://www.johnpettitbutchers.co.uk/

And thay have beef short ribs at £3.30 per lb, which seems good value to me.

Hopefully they'll be good as they have won loads of awards over the years!

Types of beef ribs

Hi,

I'm thinking of smoking some beef ribs this coming weekend and wondered which cut is best value.
I've heard Jacobs Ladder and Short cut.. what's the most popular, and what sort of price should I expect to pay?

Thanks!

Where to get the best charcoal?

Hey,

I had some lumpwood from tesco which seemed to spit and crackle all the way through burning, Supagrill briquettes had a strange smell, and supagrill lumpwood was really fine (no large chunks ...

Beginner's first attempt at smoking a pork shoulder

Hey,

This weekend I attempted smoking my first 'boston butt'. Although I'm not entirely sure I had the correct cut of meat. It was called a pork shoulder and I bought it from Tescos.

I pretty much followed the BBQ pitboys recipe on youtube.

Unfortunately I forgot to take any photos after cooking ...
