built my own set up was fed up of flare up and charing meat so canibalised an old bbq to create a rear heat bbq, works great.

If it was my first BBQ then the one touch would my advise as this will allow you to grill roast and smoke, its a brill allround machine.

I know am pinching oddsocks post but has anyone any ideas were i can get a new therm for my BBQ the one i got got damaged and cracked in wind. Any ideas?

Sounds to me as you need to get a glass of wine a good book and a nice chair chill out, the biggest lesson i have learn't todate is low and slow means slow, yesterday i did 3 whole chickens and norm in oven would be 1 1/2 hrs, smoking these baabies took 5 hrs with a little higher heat at end, still ...

I do agree with you saying about salt, 100% true.
