Re: Hello There

Hi Paul
Sounds like you're having a lot of fun there. If I'm in your neigbourhood, I'll come and see you and pick up some of that charcoal.

I've cooked a fair amount of rib in my time, and I say:

Keep the temperature at a steady 225f.

Make your own barbecue sauce (then you know what's in it) and marinade the rib for 24 hours first in a plastic bag so the sauce covers the meat.

Don't tell anyone your recipe for the sauce ...

Re: The Bulworthy Project Natural Restaurant Grade Quality

I tried this charcoal for the first time today and I'm pretty impressed. It's only burnt wood and it doesn't burn as long as some of the briquettes, but I'm always a bit worried about what they put in them briquettes to make them last so long. Good charcoal should only leave a slight smell of ...

Natural Chemical Free Charcoal

Hello there
I'm looking for natural chemical-free charcoal. Back home in Texas, they make charcoal in the woods out of wood. I don't know what they do exactly, but there's no chemicals and no chemical after-taste. Where can I get this in England (if at all.) Prefereably near Exeter, Devon but ...

Hello There

Hello
I'm new in England and have just got myself a smoker. I bought some charcoal from a service station and it tastes like it's soaked in gasoline. I just wanted to know where you guys get your charcoal. Is chemical-free charcoal available here, or will I have to get it sent over from the states ...
