Re: Mobile bbq

Gavin, quick question. You mentioned before you can go in the back walk in fridge, is this still the case as it didn't seem open for the public. Just the workers kept going back there. They only had 1 bad looking bone in shoulder so I asked if they had more and the guy went out there. I spoke to a ...

Re: Hello from Barnet

Not sure about gas BBQ's as never owned one but I would say now is offer time as the season for BBQ is over for most British folk but for a true BBQ'er/smoker all year round is BBQ season

Re: Mobile bbq

Just on way back from meat masters and £3.13/KG. got a 4kg shoulder and 2Kg beef ribs. Only thing with the shoulder is I think it has extra bone on so need to trim a lot of fat and some bone off. Will take a pic when home

Re: Mobile bbq

Cheers kiska, I forgot they had one in the centre as well as on the outskirts on botley road. I haven't been able to get myself down there yet weekends or weekdays but I have next week off so will venture down to both! Never been to either before so will be exciting (sad right? Haha)

Re: Mobile bbq

But surely you wouldn't be using ASDA pork butts to sell? The £25 might be expensive buts it's my local butcher price but still less than online sites then there is delivery

Re: Mobile bbq

There is probably another debate right there - Freezing, defrosting meat - is it as good as fresh from butcher?

Or do most butchers nowadays receive it frozen? (like half cows or something).

Re: Mobile bbq

Ok so without insurance, fuels (wood/coal/pellets), BBQ sauce and anything else I have forgotten as i'm doing this while I should be working.

So at a 25% loss would mean 13.5 people instead of 9.

For quick math i'll leave the other figures the same (slaw and buns) selling again at £5 each would ...
