Hi guys,
So I had another crack at ribs at the weekend. Bought 2.5KG of spare ribs for £20 at the local butches, they were very thick, so I prepared for a 6 hour cook on my 57cm Weber Kettle.
I was using heat beads and big k lumpwood to start it off, had a few issues with heat control but generally ...

Re: Cast iron plate for the BBQ
I loooove cast iron, and can't resist cooking with it and acquiring interesting pieces.
If you want to cover the whole grill - check out the cast iron griddles they use on paella burners.

Re: UUNI Pizza oven
I got one - works great. Same results as a brick oven, with a few limitations as well as some advantages. Only done one cook, but learned some lessons which will make later ones better.
Nice! Been waiting for someone on these forums to give it a thumbs up....I'm definitely getting one of these ...

Cast iron plate for the BBQ
Hey winter BBQ'ers!
I'm considering getting decent sized cast iron plate for my 57cm Weber. I'd like to cook onions, mushrooms etc outside on the BBQ like I've seen in a few vids online. Ideally I'd like something that covers most of the grill...any one using something similar?
Regards,
Danny

Re: Red's True BBQ, Nottingham
A guy at work bangs on about the one in Manchester all the time, he fancies himself as a bit of an amateur chef and rates this place very highly...think I might need to make a trip!

Re: PizzaKettle Clones?
Did you try one and it was crap?
How is the Uuni oven? Looks great for under £200...although I noticed it doesn't have a pizza stone? Does it make a difference? I wondered if it was expensive to run with the pellets.

Re: PizzaKettle Clones?
Thanks, unfortunately I don't have the space for another kettle, £50 does look good though...
I've started looking at the "BakerStone Pizza Oven" which is about a £100 but I can get a bit of a discount off that. Does anyone have any experience with these?
I've seen a few good reviews but they are ...

Re: Pink Chicken!
Thanks for the responses.
I guess that anything that generates smoke (cooking fuel, the rosemary) created the pinkness on the outside. I had the left overs for lunch yesterday I am still alive, so I'm sure your all correct!
It was just weird, because I know when I smoke to expect the "smoke ring ...

Pink Chicken!
Hello,
After a bit of advice please...
Came accross this a couple of times recently and wondered if it's a familiar site. I always ensure my chicken is cooked through when doing thighs, legs and wings. I know how long roughly stuff needs to be cooked on the BBQ (with experience). The last couple ...

Re: PizzaKettle Clones?
Your right of course, I just can't justify £130 for crispy Pizza's!
Since I've not been in the BBQ game long (start of the summer) do these tend to get cheaper during the winter? I've already seen my one touch original drop to £70 (since paying £120 something) I'm hoping the accessories go down too ...
