Re: Slow 'n Sear

Thanks for the really comprehensive review. I was bought one as present last week so am going to go and get myself a pork shoulder and give it a try.

Cheers

Re: Slow 'n Sear

Hi, given its a while since your post about using the Slow n Sear, I'd be really interested to know if you still think it was a worthwhile investment? I've been thinking about making a purchase and have been looking at the reviews on Amazon in the US...I have a 57cm kettle and have had a few ...

Re: Problem wir Weber Briquettes

Hi there, I'm no expert by far but have been cooking on the Weber 57cm kettles for a while now and have only ever really used the weber briquettes ( the old style in the white bag). I have to say they've been spot on and create a stupid amount of heat, to the point that you need to shut down some of ...

Re: Fuel For Snake Method

I've also had a reasonable amount of success on the OTP with the snake method. I too use briquettes and I stack them in a brick-bond style, to try and help keep them catching.

Cheers.

Re: Grill Thermo

Hi

Not 100% sure but I think you can use the single probe for either grill or food.....I've got the et-733 with the two probes and it's great....not sure what the price differential is between them but in for a penny, in for a pound and all that :D ..... You probably wouldn't ever regret buying ...

Re: Lighting my Lump with a Chimney

Hi there.

I'm no expert in these matters but have managed a few long cooks now on the OTP with a moderate amount of success using weber briquettes and the snake method. By using small movements of the bottom vent you can control the temp really well and a semi circle of snake can easily get 6-7 ...

Re: maverick Battery usage

Here is the info that I got back from Maverick.... I think point 4 is key.

Re: Weber Master worth the extra ?

Hi there.

I own one of each and to be honest, IMO there's very little between them. That said, the Grate in the Master is a bit more chunky than the standard one touch and it does have that removable centre, which is great for beer can chicken etc as you can fit the roaster into it and it gives a ...

Re: maverick Battery usage

Hi everyone. Firstly thank you for all your replies. As it seemed to only be me having problems, I dropped a line to the nice people at Maverick and they have come back with a very interesting response, so thought I'd share in case others could benefit.

They say that if you switch off the reciever ...
