Re: Northern Ireland UDS builder/smoker
Kinda answering my own question, but I managed to pop into B&Q Craigavon this afternoon and picked up 2 x 7Kg bags of Dial Lumpwood Charcoal for £7 each. £1 per Kg will do me alright! Fingers crossed the charcoal itself is OK.

Re: Tips for washing out UDS - no outdoor tap!
What I do with my UDS is hold it upside down and bang it off a shed wall a couple of times so most of the gunk falls out. Anything that's left is an 'anti-rust coating'! I don't bother washing or scrubbing.

Thanks for the tip. I probably wouldn't go there especially for charcoal, the next time I'm down that direction I'll try to look up Kelly's. Cheers sir!

Northern Ireland UDS builder/smoker
Hi, just saying hello! A couple of years ago I built a UDS for myself, and it's been great. I've done plenty of pork shoulder, brisket and chicken, but I often wondered about where to get consumables in the UK. I made a post to the Reddit /r/bbq subreddit and was told to pop along here.
