hmmm, slighty more confused than when I started this thread!?!
Dont mind flat pack, even my dim witted approach to DIY can cope with that. There is a place where the neighbours (not the ones that complained) backs on to the side of my garden and they have a brick built shed. I was largely thinking ...

Re: Perfect BBQ Shelter
Looks like a decent solution to me. That said the flaws that you guys point out are reasonable. My issue is that I simply won't build something myself. I don't really have the tools, the know how or the inclination to build it so I need a ready made solution or to find some more cash so that I can ...

Re: Perfect BBQ Shelter
There are a couple of areas that have a concrete base. One was probably a nice patio a couple of decades ago and one might have been a greenhouse. So base is good. The debate with the other half has moved on to where I am going to put it based on irritating the neighbours with smoke floating in ...

Fish & Meat on the same smoker?
I only have one proper smoker (my trusty ProQ) and am keen to experiment with fish at some point. However I had heard somewhere that it is not a good idea to smoke fish in the same smoker as you smoke meat as it can affect the flavour in a not good way. Anyone done it? Anyone have any advice?

Re: Perfect BBQ Shelter
Hehe I won't be spending £5k. Budget is likely to be £300-£400 region. I reckon that probably buys me a converted wood store with a couple of sockets.
Thanks for all the input though guys !

Re: Perfect BBQ Shelter
Well my brother is a sparky so outdoor sockets should only cost me materials and a few beers. It did occur to me that at some point I will want a forced air system so that is a great shout.

Perfect BBQ Shelter
With Xmas just been and gone I asked the missus to gather funds from anyone wanting to give me a "present" so that I can build the perfect area/shelter for smoking in the kind of rubbish weather we regularly get in the UK. So the question I throw to the floor is what should my perfect BBQ area ...

Re: Hello from Last of the Summer Swine
We have committed to Bristol Grillstock again this year, any additional dates will be hard won with the other half but I will have a longing look at the events pages anyway...

Re: Probe holes in ProQ Excel
This is handy as I was eyeing up the mavericks but noticed this issue when I tried too use my mates mavericks with my ProQ when we did a charity cook at work last summer. Bit of a design flaw in the eyelets if you ask me as just about everyone with anything to say on the subject seems to recommend ...
